Even though this situation exists all throughout the former Soviet Union, very specifically we are addressing the situation in the Ukraine. Ukrainian Republic and Russian Republic have had the majority of scientific, Research and Development institutes and other R&D organization in the former Soviet Union.
As of today URDE is working with two major scientific organizations in the Ukraine:
URDE's function is to bring together US and Canadian R&D companies and Ukrainian scientific and engineering organizations in a wide variety of technologies and together offer ready to go projects to potential customers in US and Canada.
In order to maximize effectiveness of the URDE project, Silicon Valley Florida Association, Inc., (New High-Tech Geographical Zone) will offer an opportunity to primarily small American R&D companies specializing in wide variety of technologies to relocate to Silicon Valley, Fl., area and form R&D parks for specific technologies.
As previously stated, URDE's goal is to bring small American scientific and engineering R&D companies to a New Geographical High-Tech Zone. In addition to the projects they are working on today, URDE plans to give them a chance to capitalize on a close relationship with NASU's Institutes.
URDE plans to bring ready to go projects up to U.S. and Canadian standards. R&D companies can then add their own ideas to these projects and acheive a substantial financial result in a very short period of time.
Another very promising possibility is to use the scientific knowledge and experience of NASU's Institutes to enhance the existing projects U.S. and Canadian companies are working on right now. A number of NASU's Institutes have a very well developed experimental manufacturing infrastructure. In the recent past, NASU was central in the completion of classified projects for the Soviet military.
